About this role

We are hiring 2 x Full Stack Web Engineers based in Chennai. The role is hybrid, allowing work from both office and home, to build out our web applications for our Identity and Privacy team and new products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain innovative solutions that enhance user security and privacy.

What You Will Do in This Role

• Architecture, Design, and Development: Develop high-performing, cloud-hosted web applications, both backend and frontend, translating business requirements into technical designs.
• API Development: Author secure APIs, web services, and microservices, ensuring secure communication between systems that integrate with various systems, such as other backends, other web clients, or Mobile apps.
• Responsiveness and Optimization: Ensure responsiveness and cross-platform optimization for mobile devices, optimizing application performance and resolving technical issues.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, UX designers, and other developers to understand requirements and define reusable user experience interactions.
• Clean, Functional Code: Write clean, functional, and extensible code with unit, integration, and functional tests.
• Debugging and Tool Creation: Debug issues, fix defects, and create productivity tools within a large, distributed team setup.
• Code Reviews and Mentorship: Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and mentoring junior developers.
• DevOps Practices: Implement DevOps practices using GitHub, CI/CD pipelines (Teamcity, Jenkins, etc), and related tools.

What You’ll Need to be Successful in this Role

• Experience: 6+ years of experience in Web Application Development, including at least 4 years specifically in web development.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks (React, AngularJS, Vue) and Node.js, with working knowledge of TypeScript and .NET Core.
• Front-end Skills: Strong understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, front-end development principles, and frameworks (ReactJS, Vue, Angular), with a foundation in HTML, CSS3, and other frameworks such as Tailwind.
• Database Skills: Proficiency in RDBMS like MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Testing: Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, Selenium, and NUnit.
• DevOps Familiarity: Knowledge in unit testing, code review, and CI/CD tools using Jenkins, TeamCity, Docker, Splunk, Azure DevOps, AWS, and TeamCity, with familiarity in version control systems, preferably Git.
• Methodologies: Familiarity with agile software development practices.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills; capable time management, project management, organizational, and team collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced work environment.
