Technical Lead Engineer

GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Technical Lead Engineer to join our team in Oak Ridge, TN, which provides integral mission support to the DOE and NNSA.

This position is expected to be full-time and will be located in Oak Ridge, TN.

• Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with the senior leadership team and internal stakeholders.
• Establishing effective and appropriate project governance for a project.
• Producing and maintaining a project plan while conducting the project within constraints of the framework used by different delivery teams.
• Developing full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
• Planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
• Estimating the resources and participants required to achieve project goals.
• Ensuring proper financial management of the project.
• Ensuring proper risk management by documenting all risks and employing an effective.

• Bachelor's Degree from ABET accredited college or university and 10+ years of experience providing technical and management support in a chemical or nuclear industry, and 5+ years of experience in maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment and managing treatment processes in a chemical or nuclear industry.
• Experience managing an RCRA permitted facility, and experience maintaining a DOE/NNSA facility within a prescribed facility safety envelope.
• Knowledge and experience in managing personnel in various disciplines.

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.
