At Avio Aero, a GE Aerospace Business unit, we’ve been reimagining the power of flight for more than 100 years. We are specialized in the design, production and maintenance of components and systems for both the civil and military aviation.

As IT Product Owner for Supply Chain, you will lead the evolution and management of digital platforms and drive projects that enable the Avio Aero Supply Chain organization to meet the specific requirements and regulations of military programs, with a particular focus on manufacturing and quality processes.
In this role you will ensure alignment with civil program platforms, leveraging shared blueprints, infrastructures, and vendors to maximize efficiency.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Own the whole Digital application lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment, adoption, and maintenance.
• Manage project schedule, risks, costs, and any non-standard events ensuring successful delivery and measurable customer impact through KPIs.
• Act as a bridge between Business functions, IT, external stakeholders maintaining clear communication with end-users and management.
• Contribute to the Digital operations to ensure business continuity, efficiency, and ongoing improvement.
• Proactively explore alternate technologies and make informed choices based on experience and impact analysis.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver digital solutions that meet military program requirements while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Ensure compliance to GE standards and practices, driving IT operational excellence.
• Partner with Business Leaders and Users to identify needs, improve business processes and deliver effective digital solutions.
• Ensure alignment with the broader GE Aerospace within DT Function.
• Strongly interact and collaborate within Digital Technology teams in all Sites.
• Develop key Business process knowledge to support Supply Chain operations.
• Serve as the site focal point for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), ensuring alignment between business requirements, operational needs, and digital technology solutions.
• Own the Manufacturing Execution System (MES) product roadmap for the assigned site(s), balancing business priorities, operational needs, and technology strategy.
• Act as the primary point of contact between Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Digital Technology teams for MES-related initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
• Drive the adoption, enhancement, and operational support of MES solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve shopfloor processes through MES capabilities, digital manufacturing technologies, and integration with enterprise systems.
• Develop and maintain deep functional expertise in MES and shopfloor digital processes, acting as a trusted advisor for Operations, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations.

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline.
• Good knowledge of Supply Chain processes.
• Experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably DELMIA Apriso, or equivalent shopfloor digital solutions.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and shopfloor operations within a complex industrial environment.
• Ability to translate manufacturing and operational requirements into digital solutions and process improvements.
• Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset. 
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
• Team-oriented attitude and inclusiveness. 
• Ability to work in ambiguity and deliver solutions with clear assumptions.
• Ability to exploit new technologies to improve Supply Chain processes.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive adoption across diverse teams.
• Fluent in Italian and English (spoken and written).
• EU work permit. 

 

Desired characteristics

• Previous experience in similar role.
• Good customer-oriented approach with a focus on quality and cost. 
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), preferably DELMIA Apriso.
• Knowledge of manufacturing digitalization, shopfloor connectivity, Industrial IoT, or Industry 4.0 solutions.
• Experience supporting manufacturing process transformation and digital adoption initiatives.
• Familiarity with aerospace, manufacturing, or highly regulated industrial environments.
• Competencies in Agile and Scrum methodologies. 
• Ability to use Lean and 6 sigma tools and drive change.
• Good analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Motivated to grow, proactive and able to set own action plans.
