We are currently looking for a Network Automation Engineer!

Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for a Network Automation Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on automation, DevOps practices, and software development, while also requiring a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. You will help improve infrastructure reliability and scalability through automation and integration of systems.
This role is a great opportunity if you enjoy building modern infrastructure, working with cutting-edge technologies, and automating everything that can be automated. You’ll help design and support big and mission-critical systems and take part in developing automation tools that make infrastructure more reliable and efficient.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Write and maintain software to solve complex network management and monitoring tasks. This includes deploying and auditing network device configurations, automating validation and testing procedures, and monitoring network health and performance with visualization and alerting. 
  • Collaborate with multiple Engineering teams to incorporate network automation solutions into deployment pipelines. 
  • Drive automation at all stages of software development, release, and operations. 
  • Research and stay up to speed on network automation industry trends and projects, and apply them to improve team efficiency and innovation. 
  • Support Linux-based environments and containerized applications and services (NMS, telemetry, flowspec and routing controllers, syslog, tacacs, netflow services) 

Qualifications

Professional Experience:

  • Background in networking (TCP/IP, IP routing protocols)
  • Experience with Unix-based systems administration
  • Experience with network vendor devices (Arista, Cisco, Juniper, Nokia) and their automation interfaces
  • Experience in developing systems using Python

Technical Skills:

Programming & Scripting:

  • Proficiency in Python (scripting, automation, and working with data)

Network Fundamentals:

  • A deep understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF

DevOps & Automation Tools:

  • Hands-on experience with Docker.
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana).
  • Familiarity with Ansible for automation and configuration management.
  • Familiarity with git and CI/CD tools.
  • Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse).
  • Experience with Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), and data formats like JSON and YAML

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of Python frameworks such as Django, DRF, FastAPI
  • Experience with React for building internal tools and dashboards
  • Advanced networking knowledge: Flowspec, Telemetry, gNMI
  • Programming experience with Go

Soft Skills

  • Good teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
  • Fluent English
