Description

About the role: 

  • Our team is looking for a Strategy and Operations Project Lead to lead strategic, cross-functional projects such as, but not limited to,  
    • Salesforce transformation for Services involving design, strategy, and implementation,
    • Frontline Service associate workflow optimization, 
    • Service delivery model redesign / optimization and global implementation etc
  • They would do this by understanding our Global Services and Delivery (GS&D) organization’s business needs, current-state reality / challenges, future-state best practices and working in close collaboration with intra-GS&D functions such as communications, learning and development, frontline business, analytics, technology etc. as well as cross-functional partners from Sales, Marketing and Product
  • This individual will independently lead and own projects / workstreams within larger corporate priority initiative(s), often with guidance and support from other team members
  • This is a high visibility, high impact role and a great platform to make a disproportionate impact on our associates, clients, and Gartner’s future success

 What you’ll do: 

  • Lead and own day to day project management of key initiatives for the organization as either tracks within a program or independent projects
    • Design, develop and drive the ‘How’ behind the project’s problem-solving / implementation needs, once aligning strategically with the ‘What’ and ‘Why’
    • Facilitate seamless collaboration and communication among cross-functional team members to ensure project cohesion and alignment across multiple streams
    • Demonstrate a strong bias to action, proactively driving project progress and swiftly implementing solutions to overcome obstacles and achieve desired outcomes. Create, compile, and analyze ideas for service initiation / adaptation and where possible, improvement. Analyze and evaluate based on customer, financial, service associate and competitive considerations – depending on the nature of the project
    • Leverage strong interview skills to gain leadership and service delivery associate insights/feedback to improve business capabilities / supporting infrastructure and test new concepts that will inform transformation initiatives and continued iteration on those improvements
  • Collaborate across Strategy & Operations, Services & Delivery, Sales, Product and R&A to bring cross-functional efforts / projects to our service and delivery teams in a coordinated way. Influence diverse groups of stakeholders to unite behind a common vision, objective, and plan
  • Cultivate strong relationships across the organization and partner with business stakeholders and Strategy and Operations leadership to solve problems and identify business/strategy and operations improvement opportunities
  • Develop a passion for the client perspective and bring it to your projects as a north star. In addition, understand the perspective of the services associate. Understand the world from their point of view, develop a passion for making them successful at everything they do

What you’ll need: 

  • MBA professional with 3+ years of consulting experience in strategy or business operations
  • Strong consulting skillset including but not limited to the ability to lead and program manage the end-to-end problem lifecycle i.e., Define (peel back the layers to the high-level problem statement and understand the root-cause), Design (a solution to solve the problem at hand), Develop and Deploy (the previously designed solution)
  • Champion mindset – Willing to challenge the status-quo, a consistent go-getter and driven to only accept the best for the business. Able to work through highly ambiguous problem statements
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative problem-solving skills; excellent analytical skills; ability to analyze large datasets and translate raw information into actionable insights
  • Outstanding project management skills with driver attitude, an ability to run complex projects, meet deadlines and prioritize workloads, while working with cross-functional partners
  • Strong knowledge of technology concepts and methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and product release lifecycle / launch processes, facilitating seamless project execution and successful product releases
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to create and deliver effective dashboards, PowerPoint presentations and updates for use by multiple levels of staff, up to and including the executive leadership
  • Strong influencing skills: ability to create alignment on objectives, vision and plan in a fast paced, heavily matrixed organization using negotiation skills, logic and a strong understanding of various social styles. Ability to manage stakeholders
  • Strong interviewing/focus group and surveying skills to determine identify best practices, barriers, opportunities and to synthesize those with relative importance and make recommendations. Ability to apply these skills both to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Very strong Excel and PowerPoint skills with strong presentation skills both to service and executive leadership
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple work streams and large amounts of detail simultaneously. Strong balance between strategic view and operational execution
