About the Role:

Gartner is looking for a well-rounded and motivated leader to lead a fast-paced team, working on cutting edge AI solutions based on natural language processing, machine learning, and Generative AI. In addition to leading a distributed team of around 15 developers and 10 QA engineers, the role requires being the location lead for bringing together over 40 employees across various teams every two weeks to enable opportunities for better networking and interactions in a hybrid work environment.

What you’ll do:

  • Be a leader for high performing engineering teams, building AI-based solutions.

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to define and implement the product roadmap.

  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of end users, designers, application developers, product operations, architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into solutions.

  • Establish best practices for engineering based on an agile delivery process.

  • Design successful deployment, security, high availability and disaster recovery strategies for cloud based solutions.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to support and improve systems, processes, standards and tools.

  • Be the leader in building a culture of collaboration and deeper connections across all the teams at the location.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor of Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • 12+ years of experience in software development leading teams of managers, architects, developers, and testers in support of complex business functions.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with ability to work collaboratively.

  • Solid technical hands-on background, preferably in the areas of Java, Python, Databases, Cassandra or similar NoSQL databases, React Framework, and AWS Services (e.g. EC2, Lambda, SNS, SQS, RDS).

  • Hands-on experience with one or more of the following: Camelot, Spacy NLP, NLTK , Pandas, TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Numpy, GenAI models, LangChain.

  • Exceptional people management skills with an emphasis on mentoring.

  • Strong foundation in application architecture and software development.

  • Experience in managing multiple product development teams consisting of sharp engineers, conducting design and code reviews, ensuring best practices are followed by the team.

  • Significant experience in Agile/Scrum process
