About the role:

We’re looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our team. The role will work closely with architects, data and cloud engineers to design, build, deploy, manage and operate our Data platform and Data Portal. You will be part of a global team that’s distributed across India and Europe.

What you’ll do:

• Develop and maintain a Data Portal, where we would expose the self-service capabilities we have built to end users who are Data Analysts, Product Managers, Software Engineers and Data Scientists. The Data Portal will make those features available through a web UI

• Develop command-line and web-based tools, as well as build Infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform.

• Develop and improve our full-stack observability, logging, monitoring and alerting systems.

• Work with cloud infrastructure on AWS.

• Administer our Snowflake, Prefect and Airflow environments, monitor and manage costs.

• Work with container workloads using Kubernetes/EKS, Docker, and Helm.

• Work with CI/CD and GitOps tools such as GitHub Actions and Scalr.

• Implement best practices with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, DataSet and PagerDuty.

• Help develop new best practices by researching new technological solutions.

• Implement API based web applications using Python.

What you’ll need:

• Experience supporting production infrastructure in a public cloud, such as AWS or GCP.

• Application development experience in Python and React, or other dynamic programming languages.

• 3-5 years’ experience in IT infrastructure work and expertise on AWS platforms.

• Strong knowledge of Docker containers and Kubernetes.

• Passion for building user-friendly, automated tools for developers.

• Good combination of technical and interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication; detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or information systems.
