About this role:

Gartner is looking for a well-rounded QA Lead/Architect who can provide project leadership supporting Product Delivery.

What you’ll do: 

  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities into the software test architecture

  • Provide long term technology leadership for enhancing test automation capability at organization level

  • Understanding of non-functional testing and ability to integrate the same within automation solution

  • Identifies test process issues, create solutions and adds them as best practices and lessons.

  • Review products, processes, and systems on an ongoing basis to determine where improvements can be made

  • Manage and expand relationships with other QA partners on software systems test and automation

  • Design and plan tests, write and execute automation scripts, and manage testing activities as part of the software development cycle

  • Provide inputs on high-level test scenarios, challenges, risks, resources, test estimates, etc., during planning meetings

  • Work with technical leaders, architects, and team to understand new product requirements

  • Works on quality assurance projects using available test frameworks and tools and establish timely plans to meet project goals

  • Mentor and coach QA team members and contribute to a high performing team

  • Provide process guidance and governance as it relates to the testing of the software products

  • Sound understanding of agile and DevOps methodologies, concepts

  • Conducts and/or participate in formal and informal test cases/script reviews

 What you’ll need:

  • Overall Experience 6 to 8 years with Degree in Computers or Engineering

  • Minimum 5 to 6 years of experience automating QA, designing automation platforms, and writing automated tests. Experience in Java and Selenium

  • Web and mobile testing (iOS, Android, and Windows), automation frameworks, Continuous Integration tools (Jenkins) and infrastructure for automation.

  • Fluent in one or more of Test automation tools like Selenium and BDD frameworks like Cucumber

  • Have experience in Estimation, prioritization, and planning/coordination of testing activities in a Scrum environment

  • Excellent in setting up and using systems like JIRA for tracking purposes and ensuring traceability among test cases, code, and requirements

  • Have hands-on experience in strategizing, automating and validating products/services that are based on Micro services architecture
