Cloud Infrastructure Lead 

Role Overview:

We are seeking a visionary Cloud Infrastructure Lead to shape and drive our cloud infrastructure engagements. This is a strategic leadership role, not a hands-on technical implementation position. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and excels at communicating complex technical concepts to diverse audiences, from engineers to executives. This role involves thought leadership, product ownership, and the ability to influence and guide engineering teams.

Desired Qualifications

• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure design and implementation
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience serving as a product owner for technical solutions
• Demonstrated ability to operate at both tactical and strategic levels
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to handle common objections
• Understanding of federal compliance regulations and security requirements
• Willingness to challenge the status quo approaches to government certification

What we are looking for in a strong candidate

• Located in the Washington D.C. area.   
• In-depth understanding of DoD processes and certification requirements
• Direct experience deploying Google Cloud in Department of Defense environments

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a Technical Program Manager for cloud infrastructure projects, focusing on creating repeatable plays for our landing zone offerings
• Author technical architectures, white papers, and one-pagers to communicate complex cloud infrastructure concepts to diverse audiences
• Represent the company at industry conferences, participate in panel discussions, and deliver public speaking engagements
• Create thought leadership content, including articles and blog posts, showcasing innovative approaches to cloud infrastructure in government settings
• Lead and influence engineering teams to implement best practices for cloud deployments
• Advocate for modern approaches to government certification and compliance, prioritizing security over checkbox compliance
• Navigate and streamline DoD processes while challenging legacy approaches to government certification
