Company Overview:
Gallagher & Mohan is a distinguished firm specializing in delivering world-class financial analysis, marketing expertise, and accounting support tailored to the real estate sector. We serve an exclusive clientele of private equity investors, developers, fund managers, brokers, and other industry leaders. Renowned for our commitment to excellence, clear communication, and strong work ethic, we seamlessly integrate with our clients’ teams to create long-term value. Our portfolio spans diverse real estate transactions—from multifamily apartment communities to large-scale office towers across the United States and European markets, with deal sizes typically ranging from $25 million to over $500 million USD.

Role Overview:
As a Database Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of the client's databases, software platforms, and acquisitions team. You will be responsible for ensuring that information is accurate, well-structured, and reliably flows between systems.
The client's data is distributed across deal-management platforms and multiple loan databases. Your role will be to bring these disparate datasets together into clean, reliable, query-ready structures that can support acquisitions workflows and potentially new user interfaces.
This is a hands-on individual-contributor role with direct client exposure. You will work closely with our finance analyst team and collaborate with US-based stakeholders.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to improve query performance and data efficiency.

Data Validation & Quality

  • Identify discrepancies and investigate issues back to their source.
  • Implement processes and checks to improve data quality.
  • Establish repeatable standards for maintaining reliable datasets.

Data Flows & Systems

  • Map how data moves between databases, platforms, and business processes.
  • Monitor and maintain end-to-end data flows.
  • Develop a strong working understanding of the client's software platforms and their front ends.
  • Support interface and UI buildouts using curated, structured datasets.

Documentation & Governance

  • Create and maintain SOPs covering how data is entered, transferred, validated, and maintained.
  • Establish and maintain data-structure, quality, and governance standards.
  • Ensure processes are documented, repeatable, and auditable.

Acquisitions Support

  • Connect data from multiple platforms and systems to acquisition-related workflows.
  • Produce structured, query-ready outputs that enable the acquisitions team to make informed decisions.
  • Work closely with finance analysts to understand business requirements and translate them into reliable data solutions.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Identify opportunities to improve internal data processes.
  • Automate repetitive workflows using Python.
  • Develop scripts and scheduled jobs to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.
