Description

You will be entrusted with the following: 

  • Planning and managing the overall projects ensuring they are within project budgets and scheduled timelines.
  • Manage, communicate, and set realistic expectations including issuing and obtaining approval for project change requests, based on project risks, issues, actions and decisions.
  • Managing and coordinating team members to gather requirements and estimates of effort for proposals.
  • Providing Project oversight and coordination for successful delivery of projects.
  • Interacting and managing the client for successful project delivery.
  • Managing weekly/monthly status reports for the projects. 
  • Ensuring that both client and team Technical Standards and Guidelines are followed.
  • Developing and executing project plans for multiple small to medium sized initiatives as required.
  • Developing and/or updating process and procedure documentation as required.
  • Providing governance for quality assurance processes and ensuring quality control and quality assurance processes are followed. 
  • Conducting lessons learned and completing formal closure of projects.

  • Have very strong verbal and written communication skills in dealing with external clients, internal stakeholders, senior management and staff - Min 8 Years
  • These communication skills include the ability to effectively communicate to technical and non- technical individuals - Min 8 Years
  • Communication style must be diplomatic, succinct, articulate and demonstrates active listening- Min 8 Years
  • Experience successfully managing application development and IT infrastructure projects to industry best practice and standards - Min 8 Years
  • Experience in client facing roles. - Min 8 Years
  • A team player, collaborative and independently driven - Min 8 Years
  • Must demonstrate a flexible open-minded attitude and have strong interpersonal skills - Min 8 Years
  • Experience in project management and project oversight and coordination - Min 8 Years 
  • Experience in project level reporting/status reports - Min 6 Years
  • Experience estimating changes including experience leading a team through estimating exercises and reviewing estimates provided by team members - Min 4 Years
  • Experience effectively leading meetings and facilitating groups to reach consensus - Min 6 Years
  • Hands-on experience in a structured application maintenance environment - Min 8 Years
  • Experience working in a maintenance environment following proper processes and procedures and following a formal methodology - Min 5 Years

Desirable Skills Matrix:

  • PMP certification Current Experience and knowledge of web-based applications - Min 3 Years 
  • Experience with public facing applications and application support -  Min 3 Years
  • Experience working with the public sector- Min 3 Years

This is a great opportunity for someone with significant experience working with clients, estimating and providing Project Management oversight and coordination with the maintenance team across a portfolio of applications. This individual will have a strong background in applying and utilizing project management best practices and standards within application development projects.
