Job Description & Responsibilities

Developer Progression Mainframe Migration Project

The project consists of converting mainframe applications from COBOL to <C# or JAVA>.

The role consists of taking the source code automatically converted from COBO to <C# or JAVA> via the PROGRESSION Tool Suite, clean compiling and executing unit tests on the code. In addition, the developer will troubleshoot defects reported by both Fujitsu and client testing groups. 

C# Targeted Technology

The technology is C#, React.js, Visual Studio, SQL Server, PowerShell modernized from Mainframe COBOL.

The ideal candidate would have mainframe <technology e.g. COBOL> familiarity, and significant Windows .NET, ASP.NET and C# background.

JAVA Targeted Technology

The technology is Java, React.js, Intellij / Eclipse, Postgres/OracleSql /SQL Server, PowerShell modernized from Mainframe COBOL.

The ideal candidate would have mainframe COBOL familiarity, and significant Java, Spring Boot background.
