System Engineer

Location: US Region, TX

System Engineer 

LOCATION: US Region

CATEGORY: Exempt, Full-Time, 100% On-site.

JOB FUNCTION:

• Manage cloud operations in all data centers.
• Travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, deploy, and maintain cluster servers across all data centers in the North America region.
• Standardize cluster server design and improvements.
• Cloud solution management
• Asset management
• Backup management
• Global Level 2 incident support and response

• BA/BS in Information Management, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or other related fields is required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Hyper-V or VMware technology
• 1 to 3 years of experience designing cluster servers
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Linux systems and Windows systems, with a basic understanding of networking.
• Data center experience preferred.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Solid foundational knowledge of networking, including familiarity with the TCP/IP protocol stack.
• Understanding of VLAN and subnetting.
• Strong knowledge of system hardware, especially related to cluster servers.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
• Strong learning ability, communication and coordination skills, and a service-oriented mindset
• Detail-oriented and capable of producing high-quality documentation and verbal communication.

LANGUAGE:

• Proficiency in English required; Mandarin is a plus.
