We help protect the global financial system by verifying millions of identities for banks, neobanks, online brokers, crypto exchanges, or insurers like N26, Trade Republic, flatexDEGIRO, National Nederlanden, Qonto, Shine, Solarisbank, and more.

In this role you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the success of Fourthline and drive our company’s mission of fighting financial crime. As a data-science intern within the data team, you will contribute to the performance of the data-science models that are used at Fourthline.
What you’ll do:
- Get familiar with the data base, repositories and way of working at Fourthline
- Dive into the data base of Fourthline; identify and visualize data trends
- Help to improve the performance of our data-science models with hyperparameter tuning, feature selection methods and feature engineering
- Work on a data-science solution to identify anti-money laundering
What you bring to the table:
- MSc student in the field of Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrics, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent studies at one of the Universities in the Netherlands
- Experience working with Python for data science/machine learning, using scikit-learn, pandas, numpy and equivalent packages.
- Basic understanding of SQL
- Strong understanding of machine learning models & statistics
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset, are solutions-oriented, a quick learner and motivated
- You can and enjoy working in a fast-paced performance-based international environment
- Available at least 6 months for a minimum of 4 days a week
