Staff SW Dev QA Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA, United States; Hybrid

The Wireless Development Quality Assurance Engineer works within the R&D team to ensure the productivity, reliability, and accuracy of the Fortinet's WLAN product. Test to cover various feature combinations integrated with various Fortinet products, in a way most customer would be deploying their production networks, with real-clients and traffic. Build and execute Fortinet and third party products solution test based on customer need. Open to recent graduates and entry-level candidates.

Job Responsibilities:

• Build-up manual and automation testbed based on need, enhance QA AI automation infrastructure
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and functional test cases based on function specs
• Daily work with AI-powered automated testing.
• Find, isolate, document, regress, and track bugs through resolution
• Execute test cases, analyze and report test results to product teams
• Use AI-assisted debugging to identify and analyze the root cause of defects, and optimize test cases and test scripts as needed.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to analyze, debug and resolve issues

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of QA experience in wireless and/or networking
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies (test plan creation, bug tracking, failure analysis and documentation).
• Highly responsible, self-disciplined, adept to fast paced and results-oriented environment.
• Capable of efficiently executing AI-powered automated testing to improve test coverage, accuracy, and overall testing productivity.
• Experience working with Linux, UNIX and Windows Operating Systems
• Networking/Wi-Fi technologies of 11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/6e, IPv4/IPv6, DHCP, ARP, NAT, Routing and Switching
• Experience with wireless test tools & Analyzers such as Ixia Veriwave, Chariot, Omnipeek, AirPcap is a plus
• Open to recent graduates and entry-level candidates.

Education Requirements:

• BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $112,000-$137,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time, as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors, including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Company’s discretion.
