Senior Software Dev QA Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for quality of some features of cybersecurity products, including Load Balancer, Web Application Firewall, Firewall and DDoS related modules.
• Design and execute test case for function modules.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts.
• Work closely with developers to ensure defects are correctly identified and fixed.
• Work closely with support teams to analyze and resolve customer issues.
• Write user guide and deployment guide modules

Required Skills:

• 8+ years of work experience.
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP, Routing and Switching, L7 application protocols such as DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, etc.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity (e.g. WAF, API Security, Bot protection, Firewall, SSL VPN and IPsec VPN are preferred)
• Working experience on Virtual machine environment and Clouds, including VMware, Hypver-V, AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.
• Good program skill, familiar with Python, Shell, etc.
• Knowledge of general QA procedures and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals.
• Good experience in using traffic load and protocol test tools, including Linux tools Linux tools or commercial equipment such as IxLoad and Avalanche.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem analytics skills.
• Highly motivated, responsible, a quick learner and a good team player.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or above, in CS or related area
• Cisco CCNP or CCIE certification is preferred

The Canada base salary range for this full-time position is expected to be between $80,000 - $110,000 annually.  Wage ranges are based on various factors including the labour market, job type, and job level.  Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate’s subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, and experience.
