Engineering Trainee

Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Routing, Switching, VPN, and Firewall/NGFW technologies
• Basic understanding of Fortinet's key solution areas: Network Security (NetSec), Unified SASE, Security Operations (SIEM, SOAR, EDR concepts), and Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, or GCP fundamentals)
• Hands-on lab experience and willingness to build and conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and technical demonstrations
• Outstanding presentation and storytelling skills, adapting technical content to different audiences
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency is a plus)
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
• Currently enrolled in a postgraduate program (specialization, Master's, or PhD) in Cybersecurity or related areas

 

Job duties and responsibilities:

• Build, configure, and conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and technical demonstrations in lab and customer environments
• Deliver technical presentations of Fortinet's solutions to partners and customers
• Assist in responding to technical inquiries, RFPs, and solution sizing during the presales cycle
• Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and solution proposals under the guidance of senior engineers

 

The perfect Candidate:

Recently graduated or in the final stages of a postgraduate program in Cybersecurity, with a genuine passion for information security and strong interest in developing both technical depth and presales skills. Someone who wants to grow into a trusted advisor role, working alongside experienced engineers to master Fortinet's portfolio, achieve industry-recognized certifications, and build lasting relationships with the most important customers and partners in Brazil. ronment

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Security or related courses preferred.

The perfect Candidate:

In the last period or recently graduated, with an interest in technical development and qualification in the sales process, with the objective of achieving a quota defined quarter by quarter receiving a commission for sales executed in agreement with Fortinet's compensation plan and creating relationships with the most important customers in Brazil to represent Fortinet in these customers.

About Us

We are looking for a Systems Engineer trainee to support and develop projects, conduct technical presentations and design security solutions, under the supervision of an experienced engineer in the information security market, with the objective of deepening security knowledge in solutions developed by Fortinet. Focused on the Network Security (NetSec), Unified SASE, Security Operations (SecOps), and Cloud Security, delivered through the Fortinet Security Fabric platform. You will work closely with our team of specialists to conduct Proofs of Concept (PoCs), deliver technical presentations, and support other team activities.
