Job Description:

Role Summary

The Field-Based Program Manager is responsible for end-to-end execution of capital equipment installations across Tier‑1 semiconductor customers within the Taiwan SEMI ecosystem. This highly visible role serves as the single-threaded owner coordinating customers, partners, and internal cross‑functional teams to ensure first-time-right installations, rapid issue resolution, and exceptional customer satisfaction.

Operating in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment, this role directly influences customer trust, revenue realization, and long-term strategic relationships. Success requires strong technical depth, disciplined program management, and executive‑level communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Installation Execution

  • Own full lifecycle of capital equipment installations, from site readiness through handoff to operations
  • Ensure on-time, first-time-right execution across multiple concurrent customer sites
  • Drive installation standardization, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proactively identify risks related to schedule, quality, safety, or customer requirements and implement mitigation plans

Stakeholder & Partner Coordination

  • Serve as primary interface for Tier‑1 customers during installation phase
  • Coordinate OEM partners, contractors, and service providers to ensure alignment to scope, schedule, and quality targets
  • Lead cross-functional internal teams (Field Service, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales) to resolve issues and maintain momentum

Escalation Management

  • Own complex technical and program escalations with urgency and accountability
  • Lead structured root-cause analysis and corrective action plans
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with customer leadership and internal executives during high-impact situations

Customer Satisfaction & Relationship Management

  • Build credibility and trust with customer technical and operations leaders
  • Ensure installations meet or exceed customer performance, safety, and compliance expectations
  • Capture voice-of-customer feedback and translate into actionable improvements

Metrics & Performance Management

  • Track, report, and continuously improve program KPIs
  • Provide regular updates to senior leadership on program status, risks, and mitigation plans

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • First-Time-Right Installation Rate
  • Escalation Closure Time & Effectiveness
  • Installation Cycle Time Optimization
  • Installation Quality & Compliance Metrics
  • Overall Customer Satisfaction (CSAT/NPS)

Required Qualifications

  • 7–10+ years of experience in semiconductor, capital equipment, or advanced manufacturing environments
  • Proven experience managing complex, field-based programs with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor fab operations, tool installation, and site readiness requirements
  • Demonstrated success operating in high-pressure, customer-facing roles

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or equivalent business experience
  • Experience working directly with Tier‑1 semiconductor customers in Taiwan or Asia
  • Formal program or project management experience (PMP or equivalent a plus)
  • Multilingual capability (Mandarin preferred, English required)
  • Knowledge if Silicon Photonics market beneficial
