Powertrain Control's Integration Engineer

Location: Dearborn, MI, United States; Hybrid

You will be responsible for delivering control software and integration solutions that directly impact the performance of physical vehicles, taking ownership from development through successful program execution. In this role, you will lead commissioning activities, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and drive milestone reviews, with the autonomy to own decisions and deliver results. You will serve as the Controls department representative at key program and vehicle launch meetings, communicating technical progress and challenges to stakeholders and leadership with varying levels of technical expertise. Working closely with cross-functional teams—including Brakes, Body Controls, and Calibration—you will gain broad systems engineering experience while contributing to the successful integration and launch of vehicle features.

The Powertrain and Electrified Controls (PTEC) team is seeking a highly motivated Controls Integration Engineer to help bridge the gap between software development and real-world vehicle performance. In this role, you will lead the integration and validation of advanced control systems for both next-generation electrified vehicles and conventional powertrain applications, ensuring that software delivers robust and high-quality performance in physical vehicles.
