Forcepoint LLC is looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to join the X-Labs Web infrastructure team.  This senior position requires experience with Linux System Administration, DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.  The candidate has multiple years of experience and is highly skilled in deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting systems at scale.

The successful candidate is customer focused, a self-starter, able and willing to work with geo-dispersed teams. 

Essential Functions

•    Lead development, documentation, and operationalization of system processes to enhance service delivery outcomes across the organization

•    Responsible for high availability, performance monitoring and capacity planning

•    Create tooling and automation to continuously improve operational reliability processes

•    Participate in incidents, change controls and problem management

•    Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Linux systems and cloud native technologies.

Education, Experience, and Skills

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience related to Information Technology

•    7+ years' experience as a Systems Engineer

•    Experience in the design and deployment of Public Cloud technologies (AWS, Google, etc.)

•    Expertise in Linux operating systems (CentOS/Ubuntu a plus)

•    Good knowledge of deploying solution using containers with Docker, Kubernetes, ECS and Docker Swarm.

•    Experience in VMWARE virtualization technologies

•    Proficient and self-reliant in at least one scripting (Bash a plus) or programming language (Python a plus)

•    Deep experience with infrastructure automation technologies such as Terraform, Salt, Puppet or Ansible

•    Hands-on experience with core internet protocols such as HTTP, SSL, SMTP, DNS, LDAP, NTP

•    Familiar with mission-critical NoSQL systems like Redis/ElastiCache, MongoDB, Memcached, etc.

•    Familiar with monitoring systems like Grafana, Kibana.

•    Familiar with Big Data technologies like Hadoop/EMR, Athena, ElasticSearch,  etc.

•    Familiar with Queuing and Messaging systems like AWS Kinesis, RabbitMQ, Redis Queue and Kafka.

•    Ability to define and apply security polices in on-premise and Public Cloud environments.

•    Self-reliant and able to troubleshoot any problem
