Job Description

Job Description: Run new client implementations in the healthcare industry. Develop
new scalable, well tested and stable software products in Ruby on Rails. Support our
products by supplying a technical help and production issues analysis. Master and
implement solutions during an implementation for all of Flywire related products and not
just team owned product. Collaborate with other team members to allow a smooth go live
for our clients. Work with implementation managers to improve our products. Work with
support to make our products more agile. Mentor other team members. Work with
implementation manager to come up with client specific solutions. Run user acceptance
tests and go live process. Create processes to generate reports and papers statements.
Telecommuting permissible from any location within the U.S.

Qualifications

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or
related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software
development or in the job offered or related role. Alternatively, a Master’s degree or
foreign equivalent in Computer Science or related field and two (2) years of progressive,
postbaccalaureate experience in software development of in the job offered or related
role.

Experience and/or education must include:
1. Ruby on Rails;
2. Healthcare industry knowledge; understand basic concepts of insurance, copay,
and understand how to US healthcare systems operates and how payments are
made;
3. Scalable software application development to understand how the code might
affect other services within the big system, and how the code will be able to serve
a growing amount of clients without the need of changing it or the system design;
4. Writing automated tests for code;
5. Monitoring and alerts design for systems;
6. Manage and plan work as part of a project according to the roadmap built in
advance, while coordinating the progress to stakeholders and partners; and
7. Understand how docker infra is working and understand how to develop and
debug applications.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $157,643/year - $221,000/year plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
