About the Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Security Role

The team is looking for a Senior Engineer, Infrastructure Security who will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and supporting secure network infrastructures with a strong focus on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), firewalls, and networking technologies. This role will involve conducting Network Vulnerability Assessments and providing security solutions across routers, firewalls, networks, and operating systems. 

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be:

• Cloud Security & Firewall Management: Architect and maintain secure cloud infrastructures on AWS/Azure, ensuring firewall configurations are optimized to meet security requirements.
• Network Design with High Availability (HA): Design and implement highly available (HA) network infrastructures to ensure stability and uptime, integrating security into the core architecture.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) Implementation: Deploy and manage WAF solutions to protect web applications from malicious traffic and attacks, ensuring compliance with security standards.
• VPN Configuration & Network Security: Configure and manage secure VPN connections to ensure secure remote access. Ensure secure management of Cisco-based infrastructure and network traffic.
• Network Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct Network Vulnerability Assessments to identify and mitigate potential security threats across infrastructure components.
• Security Threat Detection & Log Review: Perform regular network log reviews to identify suspicious activity or potential security threats. Take immediate action to mitigate risks and strengthen defenses.
• Security Architecture & Best Practices: Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement security-first solutions for both cloud and on-premise environments, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Data Privacy & Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy policies and protect sensitive information in line with regulatory requirements.
  Ensure personal information of customers, employees, and other individuals the company conducts business with is processed and protected in line with applicable data privacy policies, privacy laws, and global best practices.

Required competency and skillset to be a Waver:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5-9 years of experience in information security with a focus on cloud security, network design, and firewall management.
• Expertise in network design with a focus on high availability (HA) and resilient infrastructure
• Relevant technology and security certifications – One or more of CEH, Cisco Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE), CEH, CISSP, and AWS/Azure Certifications.
• Technical expertise in network security knowledge, to include VPN, Firewall, network monitoring, intrusion detection, web server security, and wireless security
• Strong knowledge of common vulnerabilities and exploitation techniques
• Practical experience with database security, content filtering, vulnerability scanning, and anti-malware
• Proficiency with at least one scripting language (e.g. Perl, Python, PowerShell)
• Good judgment and a sense of urgency, and demonstrated commitment to high standards of ethics, regulatory compliance, customer service and business integrity
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate to all project members and stakeholders.
