Technical Program Director - Health Systems

Location: Kitchener, Canada

Department: Business Development

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client on all commercial and technology matters, lead external cross-party calls, and hold day-to-day relationships with the client
  • Own the program’s technology strategy, roadmap, and the requirements for new site implementation.
  • Own the program delivery across planning, implementation, and operations phases for new site implementation.
  • Evaluate emerging healthcare technology and make adoption and partnership recommendations for the program.
  • Own the analytics models and forecasting behind volumes, cost, length of stay, procedure times, and geographic patterns, and build visual simulation tools the client can explore and test.
  • Assemble and direct the specialist teams delivering integration, design, commissioning, and end-to-end testing, and be accountable for technology readiness at go-live.
  • Own documentation, reporting, and proposals across business engagements, including recommendations on scope, phasing, and next steps
  • Drive business development for FluidAI across new and existing accounts, including opportunity qualification, customer and partner discovery, market research, and pricing
  • Represent FluidAI with customers, partners, and at industry events, and bring market and clinical feedback back to FluidAI’s product and commercial teams
  • Lead proposal development for new engagements, working with FluidAI’s internal teams through contract close.

Job Requirements: 

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, health informatics, business or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years in delivering healthcare technology programs, including at least one taken from planning through to go-live and business development
  • Demonstrated ownership of a program end to end, from requirements through implementation and handover to operations
  • Working fluency across clinical applications and EHR platforms, integration and interoperability (HL7 v2, FHIR), medical devices, networks, and healthcare cybersecurity
  • Ability to hold credible clinical conversations across specialty lines and convert clinician input into requirements
  • Experience coordinating with a variety of stakeholders including executives, engineers, IT teams, clinicians, etc.
  • Strong quantitative skills and the ability to defend assumptions to clinical, financial, and design audiences while distinguishing approved fact from working assumption
  • Executive presence and comfort owning difficult client conversations; able to direct and influence senior peers
  • Willingness to travel regularly within Canada and the US, with sustained on-site presence with customers.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Business development experience, including proposals and new engagement scoping

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with emerging hospital technologies
  • Consulting, owner's representative, or health system PMO experience
  • Experience supporting procurement or vendor evaluation processes

  • Compensation: The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,000 CAD
