You will be involved in system operations, cybersecurity, and problem management, with responsibilities that include following established procedures as well as designing and refining them.
Your role will involve developing change controls that are repeatable across global power stations and providing valuable feedback into the commissioning process to enable rapid deployment and scaling. You'll also work on securing communication systems to meet industry standards for critical infrastructure and conduct thorough analyses of system incidents. This analysis will inform improvements in fleet management, helping to ensure high-quality installations across the board. CIRMP – Critical Infrastructure Risk Management Program (Australia).
Implement security controls and encryption aligning with these standards across communications infrastructure.
Develop and maintain incident response plans, perform risk assessments, and document compliance evidence.
Automate routine configurations and compliance checks using scripting tools (Bash, Python, Ansible).
Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to integrate compliant solutions.
Monitor system performance, audit logs, and proactively remediate vulnerabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu, or similar).
Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, Modbus) and encryption technologies (TLS, VPN).
Ability to demonstrate an ability to diagnose networking issues and knowledge of packet capture tools.
Familiarity with critical infrastructure cybersecurity standards: NERC CIP, NIS2, CIRMP.
Experience with incident response, risk management, and security governance frameworks.
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) and configuration management tools (Ansible).
Exceptional problem-solving and clear documentation skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with cloud (AWS) and container orchestration (Docker).
Certifications a plus (RHCSA, RHCE, CCNA, CISSP, CISM or equivalent).
Git and software development life cycle.
Docker image creation and optimization.
Infrastructure monitoring platforms (Zabbix).
Debian packaging.
Prudence model and industrial control systems.
OPC-UA servers (Ignition).
Experience in industrial control systems, BESS, or other mission-critical hardware/software systems.
Experience in BESS, renewable energy, or related fields
Familiarity with ITIL/ITSM practices.
Experience:
Minimum 8+ years in Linux Infrastructure Engineering, communications engineering, or infrastructure security.
