Senior Software Engineer, C++

Flow Traders is looking for an experienced C++ Software Engineer to join our growing Development team in Amsterdam. The ideal candidate is curious, methodical and a multi-tasker. In this role you will enhance platform and make it possible to support the different applications rollout and global deployment. You will be responsible for supporting different types of platform and business components, transport layers, optimization of memory usage and latency, fault tolerance ensuring that throughput is according to expectations.

What You Will Do

• Lead the development and global rollout of our Core platform used in multiple business/focus groups (Market data, Quantitative research, Pricing, Strategies)
• Develop tools/frameworks to deliver capabilities for tuning/develop data-driven systematic pricing and trading strategies
• Work together with focus group engineers, Quants and Technical traders to refine requirements, collect feedback, and iterate on design and implementation of platform requirements

What You Need to Succeed:

• Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent
• 5+ years post-graduation professional C++ software development experience (proprietary trading industry preferred)
• Strong programming skills in C++ (17/20 preferred) 
• Good working knowledge of Python is preferred
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes and comfortable in Linux environments
• Experience gathering requirements, communicating with key stakeholders and delivering solutions
• Ability to work on projects under minimal supervision and taking ownership of features 
• High degree of flexibility and adaptability along with the willingness and ability to deal with a rapidly evolving environment
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Ability to solve problems creatively and proactively
