Operations Specialist

Flow Traders is looking for an Operations Specialist to join our EMEA Operations team based in our Amsterdam office. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the full settlement life cycle and will make sure that all settlement obligations are fulfilled. You will provide direct support to the Trading department and the Operations & Control team. The ideal candidate has an eye for process improvements and efficiencies and is able to design and implement new (automated) standard operating procedures.

What you will do

• Operate daily (VT) reconciliations and reporting
• Closely work together with Trading and the other team members to analyze and resolve reconciliation breaks
• Redesign current data heavy processes and develop tooling to increase process effectiveness and efficiency
• Work with our enterprise data platform to manage, monitor and process our large and complex data sets.

What you need to succeed

• 0-2 years commercial work experience
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience working with large data sets and enterprise data platforms
• Team player that is able to communicate effectively internally and is able to escalate issues to the team lead
• Analytical with a keen eye for process improvements and efficiency
• Keen interest in Financial Markets 
• Good numerical skills
• Knowledge of SQL/ Python and Excel are beneficial
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong orientation towards results
