Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Quality Engineer located in Guadalajara, North Campus.

Reporting to the Quality Director, the Sr Quality Engineer role involves responsible to follow up quality matters with internal teams and external client, lead a team and coordinate along with other engineering departments to accomplish business excellence.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Collects, researches, evaluates, and presents information concerning factors such as business situations, production capabilities, manufacturing problems, and design and development of new products for consideration by other members of management team.
  • Suggests and debates alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
  • Works with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
  • Develops initial and subsequent modifications of Design Quality Assurance program to delineate areas of control, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within program.
  • Conducts and participates in management meetings with design department heads to establish, delineate and review program organizational policies, to coordinate functions and operations between departments, and to establish controls and procedures for attaining goals.
  • Interface with customers on technical/quality issues and improvement initiatives.
  • In charge of managing customer audits, internal audits, and regulatory/compliance agency audits.
  • Reviews technical problems and procedures of departments and recommends solutions to problems or changes in procedures.
  • Participates and manages the Design Site Corrective Action process.
  • Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality.
  • Confers with engineers about quality assurance of new products designed, and manufactured products on market to rectify problems.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Engineering Degree in related field.
  • Robust experience as Quality engineer, preferably on electronical area.
  • High ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients.
  • Solid negotiation skills and ability to work on a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Solid experience in SMT, PTH, Mechanical assembly and soldering.
  • Lean Manufacturing, continuous improvement tools and quality efficiency KPI’s such as Rolled Througput Yield.
  • Advanced English communication.
