About the role

Flex’s Consumer Product team is at the core of our flexible rent customer experience. The team works to ensure a seamless overall experience, deliver exciting new features, and build products that delight customers. As a product data analyst supporting our Consumer group, reporting to our Head of Analytics, will spend your day-to-day tackling analytical questions, tracking key metrics, and partnering closely with product managers as we continue to evolve our product. Further, in partnership with the Head of Analytics, you will own the functional roadmap for how to uplevel overall product analytics.

What you’ll do

Collaborate with members of the Analytics, Product, and Engineering teams to improve business decisions using data

  • Drive analyses and generate reports to assist with feature tracking, experiments, and product/platform health monitoring
  • Design, execute, and analyze A/B testing experiments to validate product hypotheses
  • Extract and analyze data using different data platforms (Snowflake, Python, etc.)
  • Present key findings to stakeholders across the company in order to drive business and product decisions
  • Explore new and unmapped data domains that can push our product forward
  • Help understand the downstream impacts of product initiatives to other areas of the business and to broader company goals
  • Partner beyond Consumer Product with analysts and stakeholders focused on driving user growth/activity/retention, bringing a strong analytical rigor to these new initiatives

Key qualifications

  • Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or related quantitative fields.
  • 6+ years of experience using analytical and statistical methods to drive product and business outcomes
  • Expertise in statistical experimentation methods, such as A/B testing, causal inference, experimental design, power analysis, etc
  • Familiarity with product event data, e.g. Amplitude or Google Analytics
  • Proficient in SQL, experience in Python and/or R a plus
  • Experience with data modeling, especially utilizing dbt and Snowflake
  • Track record of leading analytics projects from creation to delivery, including developing and communicating structured solutions and driving business outcomes
  • Biased for action - not letting perfect be the enemy of good enough, willing to build a first prototype and improve based on learnings, etc
  • Have a natural curiosity to dive into the details and have a strong analytical mindset

 

The national pay range for this role is $156,000-$186,000 in base salary. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience aligned with Flex's internal leveling guidelines and benchmarks.
