Position Overview
AHOY is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior SQA Engineer to join our quality assurance team. As a Junior SQA Engineer, you will work under the guidance of senior QA professionals to support the testing efforts for our software applications. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software testing and to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and execution of test plans and test cases for various software applications.
- Conduct manual testing of applications to identify defects and ensure functionality meets specifications.
- Document test results and track issues using bug tracking tools.
- Participate in team meetings and provide updates on testing progress and results.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand product requirements and provide feedback on quality issues.
- Learn and apply testing methodologies and improve skills through mentorship and training.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Some experience or internships in software testing or quality assurance are preferred.
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies, and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and testing practices.
