We're looking for a brilliant Development Team Leader to step in and lead a critical backend engineering team, ensuring our product roadmap stays on track and our systems remain stable. This is a high-impact opportunity to provide leadership, drive successful project delivery, and foster the growth of talent within our dynamic environment.

What am I going to do?

• Drive the team's project roadmap, owning the schedule and ensuring on-time delivery while proactively managing dependencies.
• Act as the primary point person for production health, overseeing reliable deployments and leading swift incident response.
• Provide hands-on technical mentorship and guidance to engineers, championing best practices in security and architectural design.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with team leaders from the group to facilitate seamless cross-functional integration and align on shared objectives.
• Optimize day-to-day operational rituals, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and task allocation, to maintain team velocity and efficiency.

Requirements

• You are a true Technical Solver, leading your backend team not just through direction, but through the kind of deep technical judgment that turns hard problems into clear paths forward.
• Brings a solid background in production support and incident management, ensuring system reliability and swift resolution of issues.
• Excels at providing technical mentorship and conducting effective code reviews for engineers at varying experience levels.
• Possesses excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, adept at navigating dependencies and fostering alignment with partner teams.
• Deep understanding and practical application of Agile methodologies to optimize team workflows and delivery.
• Demonstrates strong experience in technical project management, driving complex software development roadmaps from conception to delivery.

Nice to have

• Experience working with mobile application development teams or integrating services with native mobile platforms.
• Familiarity with modern security best practices and architectural patterns in a SaaS environment.
• Prior experience in a fast-growing tech company, navigating scale-up challenges.

Working with AI

While human leadership, intuition, and mentorship remain paramount, this role will leverage AI-powered tools such as project management assistants to identify potential timeline risks and automate routine reporting. AI will also support in code analysis to flag potential security vulnerabilities, allowing you to focus on strategic guidance and complex problem-solving.
