The Senior Test Automation Engineer would be an active member within the Software Quality Engineering Organization and directly in Test Automation Group (TAG) Continuous Integration (CI) team, responsible for providing automation and test support for the SW releases of Five9
Responsibilities:
- Automated call load, spike and performance regression testing.
- Test environment (pre-production) support and extending of framework (Python based).
- Configuration and using of Monitoring Systems (Logic Monitor, Grafana are preferable).
- Test result analysis for executed tests and issues investigation using TAG framework logs, product logs on different code branches and for different product components, monitoring tools.
- Test schedule plan creation, organization of results investigation and supporting in TAG.
- Reporting about different types of testing by TAG to upper management.
- Support and new internal tools development for automation testing.
- Communication and cooperation with other company’s teams and departments.
- Collaborate and work in sync with co-workers in headquarters office (California), business trips to USA are possible.
Required skills:
- Good knowledge of software development process and software testing methodologies.
- Excellent team player with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experienced user of UNIX/Linux OS-s.
- Practical Experience with Monitoring Systems (Logic Monitor and Grafana are preferable).
- Experience with DBMS (MySQL is desirable).
- Strong interpersonal, reliable and communication skills.
- Experience with network issue troubleshooting (understanding of basic network principles, i.e. OSI model, real time protocols, network management protocols).
Desired skills
- Basic knowledge of VOIP, ISDN, PSTN, SIP, WebRTC
- Hands-on experience using Asterisk or FreeSwitch PBX.
- Good understanding of CI/CD processes and basic background with tools (Ansible, Puppet, Docker)
- Hands-on experience with Bash scripting.
- Pro-activity in investigation of new opportunities for automation.
- Practical knowledge of programming techniques and algorithms (OOP is preferable).
- Hands-on experience with Python 3x and/or Java.
- Experience with IAAS (VMware ESXi, OpenStack).
- Experience in REST API automation and/or SDK type of interfaces (Java, Python C++).
- Experience in Test Automation projects for cloud computing solutions.
- Experience with software version control and bug-tracking systems (Jira, Git, …).
