Senior Software Engineer - Backend | Core Team

If you have expertise in the traditional Java technologies, this position could be your chance to learn modern technologies: microservices, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Spring.

Five 9 will provide you time for learning, access to coursed and training materials.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain Java Swing application, integrate it with Webswing.
• Maintain Java EE application with Servlet UI and REST API.
• Develop cloud-based microservices in Google Cloud Platform ensuring high availability, high scalability and multi-tenancy properties.
• Participate in sprint planning, stories and task planning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.
• 3 years of professional experience in the position offered, or related capacity.
• Experience with Java Swing and Java EE technologies.
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational DBMS.
• Please note, 2 days per week working onsite in the Porto office is required for this role.

 Preferred Skills: 

• Experience in development and deployment technologies and programming libraries: Java EE (EJB, JMS, JMX), Java Swing, Servlets, Tomcat,  JDBC, Java Server Faces, Rich Faces, JBoss Seam.
• Experience building REST APIs.
• Experience with Spring and SpringBoot.
