Senior Information Systems Engineer

As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will be a key player in our team, responsible for managing & maintaining tools such as Axonius & Zscaler, while assisting with the configuration of various other Infrastructure tools. The candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing our Corporate tools security posture.

The Team:

The Senior IT Systems Engineer will be working on the global Corp Infrastructure Team, occasionally working with Compliance and InfoSec teams. The role is intended to protect and safeguard the information assets that IT owns and operates as well as keeping our computer systems and network devices hardened against attacks and data breaches. The chosen candidate will be capable of adapting to a fast-paced environment and be ready to address shifting priorities as needed. The selected candidate will demonstrate creativity and out of the box thinking to continuously improve the organisation’s security posture.

Key Responsibilities:          

• Operational support and daily maintenance for the Zscaler & Axonius platforms.
• Monitor and Design Data connections for the Axonius platform.
• Configure and manage IT security tools in the areas of cloud apps, end point protection, network & server hardening.
• Role Purpose: responsible for ensuring the effective deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of the Zscaler, helping the organisation maintain data security, compliance, and visibility in a cloud-first environment.
• Perform audits across Infrastructure Tech stack and provide recommendations for configuration changes.
• The successful candidate will perform end to end Zscaler administration, contribute to Security monitoring and vulnerability management.
• Onboard new Data Connections, and work with 3rd parties to ensure the correct data is onboarded.
• Configuration and Policy Management across toolsets that enforce data security, compliance, and access control for cloud applications and data transfers.
• User and Device Management: Manage user identities, access controls, and device authentication within the Zscaler environment to ensure secure access to cloud applications.
• Be the primary resource for troubleshooting including engaging with end users and providing leadership on outage bridges Monitor Zscaler platform services and processes.
• Work closely with the compliance & internal audit team to ensure appropriate controls and audit logs are in place.
• Align with team members for quarterly and annual audits.
• Monitor applications on a regular basis to ensure performance, reliability, and security.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

Skills, competencies and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of previous experience working on a Corporate Infrastructure team.
• 2+ years of experience as a Zscaler Specialist, Zscaler Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Experience with end-point management or security applications.
• Securing enterprise cloud apps such as ERP, CRM, CLM, 0365 etc. using tools such as CASB & SSO.
• Knowledge of SaaS Services, i.e. Okta, Google GSuite, Microsoft Office365/Azure, Zoom/WebEx, and VoIP services.
• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing Zscaler solutions, including Zscaler Internet Access (ZIA), Zscaler Private Access (ZPA), and Zscaler Cloud Firewall.
• Hands-on experience with Zscaler policy configuration, rule creation, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with security controls and best practices related to data protection and access control.
• Proficiency in managing user identities, access policies, and authentication methods.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to document and explain technical details and incident reports clearly and concisely.
• Experience working with job architecture from a design, implementation, administration, governance and compliance perspective.
• Strong analytical skills to analyse complex environments and identify security risks.
