Data Scientist

WHAT MAKES YOU A FIT: 

The Technical Part:

• Doctorate or Master’s + 2 years or Bachelor’s + 4 years of experience in data science, statistics, data mining, applied mathematics, business analytics, engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Applied Physics, Statistics, or Operations Research preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish).
• Project Management skills.
• Shift: Administrative, based on business needs.
• Experience in:
  • Programming, coding, system design and architecture, algorithms, and data structures
  • Statistical software and coding languages (R, MATLAB, SAS, Python) and database languages (SQL)
  • Defining business questions and using programming techniques to build business solutions
  • Solving routine technical problems

AS A PIECE OF FITS, YOU WILL: (The day-to-day on the job)

• Leading, using and developing data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence capabilities across commercial organization.
• Leading the projects and be part of cross-functional teams on projects and/or programs with aims to systematically derive insights. t
• Taking the initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Identifying business needs, doing SWOT analysis, proposing potential analytical approaches for solutions, obtain approvals and the execute.
• Building high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models and proof of concepts using Python.
• Working with SQL and other DB query languages.
• Leading, collaborating and communicating cross-functionally with stakeholders to develop appropriate methodology to answer specific business questions.
• Presenting analysis ideas, progress, and results to business partners in clear and impactful manner.
• Creating powerful stories in PowerPoint. Well-versed in MS Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
•  Ensuring compliance with regulatory, security, and privacy requirements as they relate to data assets.
