What does a successful SQL Developer / Web Developer do at Fiserv? 

Join our team as a SQL/Web Developer and help build powerful, high-performing applications that drive our business forward! You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies like ASP.NET, React, and SQL Server to develop seamless, user-friendly solutions. Be part of a collaborative team where your contributions make a real impact in shaping our web and database applications.
 

What you will do: 

• Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, including stored procedures, views, and functions.
• Create and optimize web applications using ASP.NET for back-end and React, jQuery, and Node.js for front-end.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs to integrate front-end and back-end systems.
• Analyze and improve SQL queries for performance and efficiency.
• Build interactive, responsive web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Ensure security best practices are followed for data protection and application integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver innovative solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and continuously improve your skills.

What you will need to have: 

• Bachelor's Degree (preferably Computer Science or Engineering) or equivalent combination of experience, education and military. 
• 4–6 years of experience in programming principles, methods, and technologies.
• 3-5 years of SQL programming experience, including writing and optimizing complex queries.
• Experience with data management tools such as enterprise repositories, data modeling, data quality, and data mapping tools.
• Proficiency in ETL development and data integration processes.
• Ability to analyze and optimize database performance for efficiency and scalability.
• Experience designing and implementing database structures to support business applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

What would be great to have: 

• Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
• Web development experience using .NET.
• Power BI experience.
• Background in the financial industry or payment processing.

Salary Range:

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.
