What does a successful Senior Go Release Engineer do at Fiserv?

Our mission is to redefine core processing and our commitment is to be the best at what we do. As part of our engineering team, you will play a vital role to manage the release processes and ensure the successful delivery of our financial technology products.

What you will do:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Development, QA, and Operations, to plan and coordinate release schedules
• Manage the end-to-end release process from development, testing, deployment, to post-release monitoring
• Automate and streamline release processes to improve efficiency and minimize risks
• Develop and maintain release documentation: release notes, deployment guides, and troubleshooting guides
• Monitor release metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
• Work closely with development teams to understand and resolve any release-related issues or challenges

What you will need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in release management and delivery software engineering
• 6+ years of experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef
• 3+ years of experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
• 3+ years of experience with the Golang software development lifecycle, including Agile methodologies
• 3+ years of experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins, and GitLab CI
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
