About the team 

The Capital Markets Data CoE team is a horizontal CoE for Capital Markets that is helping us drive revenue and bring significant savings to our businesses by identifying, exploring, and implementing Data integration.

The Capital Markets is one of the two verticals in FIS. It has various products and solutions in funds management, cleared derivatives, commercial lending, corporate treasury, insurance risk electronic trading, RegTech, wealth and retirement etc.

 What you will be doing 

As a Senior Software Engineer (Data Engineer), you will be working on developing cutting-edge Data integration solutions across the organization where you will be doing problem analysis, designing solution, analyzing issues, performing acceptance testing and provide support.

 What you bring: 

Knowledge / Experience

• Strong working knowledge of ETL processes and best practice.
• Administration and Monitoring: Administer data integration applications to ensure high availability of services. Monitor Application capacity and execute plans.
• Development and Testing: Design and implement Data Ingestion, transformation and visualization processes including data capture, data quality, cleansing, testing, and validation methods.
• Develop standards, policies, and procedures for data integration-related activities.
• Support: Provide support for business questions related to data integration applications. Investigate critical production ETL issues/ problems.
• Work closely with the stake holder to ensure on-time delivery of quality solutions with minimal rework.
• Responsible for driving continuous improvement within the team processes and deliverable.
• Develop and document use cases, when necessary, always Maintain a professional demeanor

Skills

• 6+ Year of experience on ETL
• Good Knowledge of SQL/PL-SQL
• ETL Tool – Any (preferred informatica)
• Experience of working with at least two migration projects.
• Scripting knowledge – Unix Shell scripting.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools.
• Knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts.
• Good to have (not mandatory)

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Snowflake knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

• Fluent in English
• Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.
• Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation.
• Organized approach – manage and adapt priorities according to client and internal requirements.
• Self-starter but team mindset - work autonomously and as part of a global team
