About the team

Being part of the 200 strong Infrastructure Services organization, you’ll help to engineer and deliver the core infrastructure services that power our payments platform. We’re responsible for running some very critical systems, maintaining 20,000 servers via an automation platform, thousands of databases and petabytes of storage hosted from our data centres and public cloud.

Infrastructure Business Management
The Infrastructure Business Management team is an integral component of the Infrastructure Services organization, committed to ensuring seamless and efficient operations across our entire infrastructure ecosystem. This team plays a crucial role in demand and capacity management, service delivery and improvement, infrastructure finance and governance, large-scale project management, and cultivating a positive workplace culture within infrastructure operations. Their efforts are vital in optimizing these areas, thereby enhancing Worldpay's reliability and scalability, and reinforcing our reputation as the most trusted global payments provider.
As a member of this group, you will be instrumental in leading our global infrastructure projects, especially those focused on End-of-Life (EOL) and refresh initiatives that are essential for sustaining and boosting our operational integrity and efficiency.
What you will be doing
As a Project Manager Senior-Technology, your primary focus will be to manage and oversee large-scale, global infrastructure EOL and refresh projects. You will:
Serve as the Infrastructure representative on the Global EOL Program, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment and execution.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Identify risks and dependencies associated with infrastructure refresh projects, implementing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
Facilitate communication across project stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure transparency and alignment.
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques to monitor progress, handle changes, and report status effectively.
What you bring:
Proven experience in project management within technology sectors, specifically with large-scale infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies and lifecycle management, including direct experience with End-of-Life (EOL) processes.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Robust analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a track record of managing projects that exceed expectations.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
Added bonus if you have:
Experience in the payments industry or with financial technology systems.
Advanced knowledge of and certifications in IT Service Management frameworks such as ITIL.
Experience with Agile methodologies and an ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Background in managing global teams and resources effectively.
Familiarity with the latest industry trends in technology and project management tools.
