About the team:

Data Platform Engineer with experience on Building Data platforms of Cloud Data Platform provides platform capabilities to critical data warehousing and reporting systems in an AWS-based environment. The Engineer must be highly experienced and able to act independently to resolve extraordinarily complex problems, and will have demonstrated deep understanding

What you will be doing:

• Work directly in a platform team responsible for operational performance of cloud-based systems: CDAP, EKS, Helm, Docker, Terraform, Snowflake, Airflow, AWS (Amazon Web Services) EMR, Spark, Jenkins, Harness, Kafka, snowflake, Attunity, Tableau, etc

• Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems that provide value to end-users

• Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure business continuity, and a high bar for end-user experience

• Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design, security, compliance etc.) to bring ideas to life 

• Set and maintain high standards of technical excellence across the team

• Mentor junior engineers and help hire new talent to build a stronger team

What you bring:

• At a minimum, a Bachelor's in CS or equivalent education, and either 6+ years of relevant professional experience or advanced degree such as a master’s or PhD with 4+ years 

• Proficiency in at least two modern development framework / language (e.g., Python, Java, Go) and cloud-based systems (CDAP, EKS, Docker, Helm, Terraform, Snowflake, Kafka, Airflow, AWS, Jenkins, Harness)

• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Experience leading projects from architectural design to production, while setting and maintaining high standards of technical excellence across your team 

• Expertise in at least one area relevant to our cloud-based financial platform (e.g., fintech, distributed systems, databases, security, or front-end).

Added bonus if you have:

• Cloud certification (AWS/Snowflake), CICD certification (Terraform, Jenkins), Programming framework certifications (Python/Java/Node .js)

• Data Engineer with Dev Ops experience

• A demonstrable ability to lead and mentor engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation

• Experience in building and scaling high-performance engineering teams

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $105,070.00 - $176,520.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
