About the team 

You will be part of our QA and Test Services (QATS) team, supporting quality engineering initiatives for critical client applications. In this role, you will contribute to Manual, Functional, and Automation testing practices across delivery teams, working closely with QA leads, SDETs, engineering, and business stakeholders. You will help execute test strategy, improve product quality, and support reliable releases through well-planned testing and CI/CD-aligned automation. 

What you will be doing 

• Analyze business and functional requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to identify test conditions, scenarios, and edge cases. 

• Perform Manual and Functional testing across application components, services, and end-to-end business flows, including smoke, sanity, regression, integration, and UAT support. 

• Prepare, review, and maintain high-quality test cases, test scenarios, and test data with clear steps, expected results, and coverage mapping. 

• Execute test cases (manual and automated), log defects with clear reproduction steps, track them to closure, and share concise test execution and status reports. 

• Manage test artifacts in Jira and Zephyr — create and run test cycles, link test cases to stories and defects, and maintain traceability from requirement → test case → execution → defect. 

• Participate in requirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, defect triage, and release readiness reviews. 

• Perform API testing across REST, SOAP, and RPC interfaces using tools such as Postman or Bruno, and validate request/response payloads, status codes, and business rules. 

• Contribute to Automation testing by building and maintaining automated tests for Web Applications and Web Services using Playwright, Selenium, and related tools in Java/C#. 

• Support Unit Test practices with clear code coverage and meaningful assertions where applicable. 

• Help integrate automated tests into DevOps pipelines and CI tools (for example Jenkins/Bamboo) under guidance of senior team members. 

• Identify candidates for automation from the existing manual regression suite and convert them progressively. 

• Apply object-oriented programming principles using Java/C# when writing or maintaining automation code. 

• Follow coding standards, SDLC best practices, and quality engineering guidelines consistently. 

• Analyze system behavior and troubleshoot issues across UI, API, and data layers with strong problem-solving skills. 

• Document test strategy inputs, reusable test patterns, and lessons learned for wider team adoption. 

• Collaborate with QA and engineering teams to establish test cases, test data, and environment readiness across environments. 

• Support quality-focused infrastructure and operational documentation. 

• Assist in building and integrating GenAI, LLM, and Agentic AI solutions to accelerate QA activities such as test case generation, test data creation, and defect analysis. 

• Explore emerging technologies such as MCP, multi-agent systems, and AI-assisted testing to improve delivery outcomes. 

• Identify recurring issues and process gaps, and apply AI-assisted solutions where appropriate. 

What you bring 

• 2+ years of relevant work experience in software quality engineering, covering Manual, Functional, and Automation testing. 

• Strong hands-on experience in Manual and Functional testing — requirement analysis, test case design, test data preparation, execution, and defect lifecycle management. 

• Practical working experience with Jira and Zephyr (or equivalent test management tools) for test case preparation, test cycle execution, defect tracking, and requirement traceability. 

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in API testing (REST, SOAP, RPC) using Postman, Bruno, or similar tools. 

• 2+ years of hands-on Automation Testing experience with frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, XUnit, or NUnit. 

• Working programming skills in Java/C#/Python with understanding of object-oriented programming fundamentals. 

• Working knowledge of DevOps and Continuous Integration tooling. 

• Good knowledge of XML and HTML. 

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills (verbal and written English). 

• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and work effectively across functional teams. 

• Basic understanding of architecture design concepts and software development lifecycle processes. 

• Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, or Agentic AI concepts. 

• Practical use of GitHub Copilot for faster and higher-quality delivery across test cases, test data, and automation. 

• Curiosity and willingness to learn, evaluate, and apply emerging AI technologies responsibly. 

Added Bonus if you have 

• Experience in financial services or payment domain. 

• Familiarity with ISO 8583 message format. 

• Exposure to BDD/TSS frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow. 

• Awareness of code coverage/quality tools such as SonarQube. 

• Exposure to C#, Java, Python, Oracle PL/SQL, Postman, or Bruno. 

• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, PowerShell, CSS, or related test automation ecosystem tools.
