About the role:

We are looking for a seasoned Architect Specialist to oversee the design, execution, and management of our automation platforms on AWS and Azure. This senior position is crucial in defining our RPA strategy and leading our technical teams to success. The perfect candidate will have substantial knowledge of cloud architectures and RPA technologies, with a track record of providing extensive, secure, and creative automation solutions.

About the team: 

  • The Automation CoE is a horizontal for Capital Markets helping us bring significant benefit to our businesses by not only developing Automation and RPA solutions but also enabling other teams in efficiently executing Automation projects.
  • Our mission is to make Delivery Excellence part of every colleague’s DNA.  
  • We drive projects for clients across APAC, EMEA, and the Americas for multiple Lines of Business, namely Lending, Treasury & Risk, and Trade & Asset Services.

What you will be doing:

The IT Architect Specialist role is paramount in shaping and driving our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) strategy. This highly strategic position will focus on leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to create scalable, secure, and innovative automation solutions. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our RPA infrastructure aligns seamlessly with our business objectives and technological standards. If you are a visionary with a knack for problem-solving and a passion for leading-edge technology, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities –

  • Strategic Leadership
    • Define and drive the overall RPA platform strategy in alignment with business objectives.
    • Lead architectural governance processes to ensure compliance with best practices and standards.
  • Architectural Excellence
    • Design and oversee the implementation of scalable, robust, and secure RPA platform architectures on AWS and Azure.
    • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and frameworks to enhance platform capabilities.
  • Platform Innovation
    • Identify and integrate emerging technologies (e.g., AI, machine learning) to advance automation solutions.
    • Champion the adoption of new tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.
    • Collaborate with other architects, engineers, and business units to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Mentorship and Leadership
    • Provide expert guidance and mentorship to engineers, and developers within the CoE team.
    • Lead technical workshops and training sessions to elevate team capabilities.
  • Risk Management
    • Assess and mitigate technical risks associated with platform architectures and implementations.
    • Ensure all solutions comply with security policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Performance Optimization
    • Oversee the monitoring and optimization of platform performance, reliability, and scalability.
    • Implement best practices for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Documentation and Communication
    • Develop comprehensive architectural documentation, including blueprints, standards, and guidelines.
    • Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

What you bring: 

Knowledge / Experience / Skills

  • 15+ years of overall experience with 7+ years of experience in platform/infra-architecture and Dev Ops.
  • Proven track record in a senior architectural role with leadership responsibilities.
  • Deep knowledge of AWS and Azure cloud services, including architecture, deployment, and management.
  • Strong understanding of one or more RPA tools (Power Automate, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism etc)
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Azure Resource Manager.
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Expertise in integrating AI and machine learning capabilities with RPA solutions.
  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and RPA tools can also be beneficial
  • Ability to influence and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Coordinate activities among team members, internal departments (technical and nontechnical), and client
  • Knowledge of financial services industry and capital markets is highly desirable.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
