About the Role
As an IT Security Analyst I, you will help protect critical technology environments by monitoring and supporting email and web security platforms. You will work with internal teams, customers, vendors, and stakeholders to maintain secure operations and respond to security-related events. This role combines security operations, incident analysis, and service management to ensure reliable protection against cyber threats. Success in this role is measured through operational excellence, timely issue resolution, platform health, and continuous process improvement.
What You Will Be Doing
• Monitor and maintain email and web security solutions to ensure optimal performance and availability.
• Investigate security alerts, events, and suspicious activities to support risk mitigation efforts.
• Analyze security logs and system data to identify threats, trends, and operational issues.
• Manage and prioritize service requests, incidents, and queues following ITIL-based practices.
• Support implementation and execution of security controls that protect systems, users, and data.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams to resolve security-related issues.
• Generate, customize, and distribute operational and security reports for stakeholders.
• Maintain system configurations, updates, and security policies within supported platforms.
• Create and update technical documentation, procedures, and knowledge articles.
• Identify workflow improvement opportunities and contribute to operational efficiency initiatives.
What you will need: 
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience.
• Experience supporting security operations within an IT services or managed services environment.
• Hands-on experience with at least one email security or web security platform.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and common internet protocols.
• Knowledge of email authentication and security standards such as DMARC, DKIM, and SPF.
• Understanding of security concepts including access control, encryption, data protection, and threat prevention.
• Experience working with ticketing systems and queue management processes aligned to ITIL principles.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, time management, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with security event investigation and incident analysis.
• Knowledge of log search techniques and security data analysis.
• Experience conducting web reputation and threat intelligence analysis.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and enterprise network environments.
• CompTIA Security+, CySA+, Network+, or similar cybersecurity certifications.
• Exposure to network security architecture, engineering, or security monitoring tools.
