Description
The Company

Findigs is on a mission to make residential leasing faster and fairer. Moving into a new rental should be neither opaque nor a clunky experience. Backed by tier-1 investors across venture capital and real-estate, we're looking for A players eager to make an out-sized impact at a rapidly growing startup. Our culture is mission-driven, collaborative and ego free.

We’ve started by rethinking the rental application and screening processes from the ground up. Since launching our product, we've seen explosive demand from building operators looking to use tech to make their leasing better. Every day, our technology plays a role in deciding where people live. Housing (shelter) is essential, so we have a responsibility and mandate to get it right. Findigs does not just make it easier to apply or be evaluated for a new place — our team is committed to making the process more transparent, inclusive and awesome.

The Role

As a Staff DevOps Engineer, you'll hold a key role in advancing the development and deployment of our software products. Your main focus will be establishing robust DevOps pipelines and infrastructure and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration across various systems. You'll manage continuous integration and delivery processes, enabling efficient deployment workflows, and optimizing system performance. Additionally, you'll engage directly with stakeholders to address their needs and provide technical support as necessary.

You will have the opportunity to mentor and coach Findigs Engineers, working to up-level their skillsets and helping to create a strong team dynamic.

This role offers the flexibility to work from our NY office (hybrid) or remotely.

Where you will make an impact:

  • Design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure solutions to support our growing platform.
  • Implement best practices for security, compliance, and data protection, with a focus on safeguarding PII.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery and deployment.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Collaborate across Engineering teams to optimize application performance, scalability, and resource utilization.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and streamline operations using configuration management tools.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continually improve our infrastructure and DevOps practices.

Qualifications of a successful candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field and 10+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
  • Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in dynamic environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with high ownership and responsibility around PII and a strong commitment to data privacy and security.
