We’re looking for a generalist with a strong grasp of Computer Science fundamentals to make Figma’s Infrastructure platform secure, powerful and fast. You’ll be combining industry best-practices and first-principles approach to design and build scalable Infrastructure systems and services that power Figma’s design and collaboration tool. You will work with a world-class team of engineers on deploying and operating existing systems, and building new ones for problems that are unique to our problem space. This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.
What you’ll do at Figma:
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Have 4+ years of experience building infrastructure components / services at scale.
- Experience building and scaling distributed systems as an individual contributor and/or Team Lead
- Proven track record of building, scaling, and shipping high-quality products in high growth environments.
- Experience communicating and working across functions to drive solutions.
While it’s not required, it’s an added plus if you also have:
- Have excellent problem solving skills. You use a systematic and thorough approach. You think from first principles and have a bias for action.Are driven by impact. You are willing to work on grungy problems if they have a high impact on the business or the health of the infrastructure.
- Care deeply about the quality of the software / systems you build. You have an artisan mentality and are always looking to improve your craft. At the same time you are able to strike the right balance between idealism and pragmatism.
- Have excellent technical communication skills.

Pay Transparency Disclosure
If based in Figma’s San Francisco or New York hub offices, this role has the annual base salary range stated below.
Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process (including skills and prior relevant experience, potential impact, and scope of role), market demands, and specific work location. The listed range is a guideline, and the range for this role may be modified. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, the pay range is localized according to employee work location by a factor of between 80% and 100% of range.
