Senior Full Stack Engineer

Position Description: 

***Multiple Positions Available*** 

Builds Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) with frameworks -- SOAP and REST. Automates the integration of code changes from multiple contributors into a single software project through the use of Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI/CD) practices and open source platforms --uDeploy and Jenkins. Deploys GIT software to track changes in file  sets and source code management.  Develops maintainable, scalable multi-tiered applications using Unix and Shell Scripting. Builds scalable Web applications via JavaScript, AngularJS, or NodeJS using component based frameworks. Provides business solutions by developing complex or multiple software applications. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

• Develops original and creative technical solutions to on-going development efforts. 

• Designs applications or subsystems on major projects and for/in multiple platforms.  

• Develops applications for multiple projects supporting several divisional initiatives. 

• Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation.  

• Assists in the planning and conducting of user acceptance testing.  

• Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple applications supporting several corporate initiatives.  

• Responsible for post-installation testing of any problems.  

• Establishes project plans for projects of moderate scope.  

• Works on complex assignments and often multiple phases of a project.  

• Performs independent and complex technical and functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several initiatives. 

Education and Experience: 

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing Java Web application and microservices development in a customer services environment. 

Or, alternatively, Master’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and one (1) year of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer (or closely related occupation) performing Java Web application and microservices development in a customer services environment. 

Skills and Knowledge: 

Candidate must also possess: 

• Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) designing, developing, installing, analyzing, monitoring, performance tuning, and testing customer facing enterprise back-end applications, using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Java, Oracle, REST/SOAP Web services, and Spring/Spring Boot. 

• DE implementing enterprise-wide Web Services and API solutions by applying software engineering best practices and REST and SOAP design principles; and testing REST/SOAP applications using Junit, Jest, Apache JMeter, and Selenium. 

• DE designing, developing, performance tuning, and testing customer facing enterprise front-end applications, using Angular, Typescript, JavaScript, and SCSS.
