Principal DevOps Engineer – Fidelity Health Care Technology Group

Fidelity Healthcare Technology group is actively seeking an experienced DevOps engineer who is a hardworking, inquisitive, and responsible individual to assist with driving industry standard platform engineering best practices in automation, deployment, and monitoring, and ensure high resiliency and reliability of our digital products. The ideal candidate is deeply entrenched in front and middle tier development on cloud, collaborate with cross-functional teams, with a passion for engineering excellence culture and practices to guide the design and implementation of scalable digital platform infrastructure.

We focus on crafting compelling digital platform and experiences using the best application design guidelines by way of robust tooling and engineering excellence practices on cloud to provide healthcare benefits and management. We work in a collaborative, fast paced environment and are committed to advancing a digital strategy to the delight of our customers.

The Expertise You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree of Computer Science or other related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise application deployment automation and DevOps implementation.
  • Professional experience in cloud application deployment automation patterns and various scripting languages.
  • Solid knowledge with cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps best practices
  • Strong technical background on designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Proven experience with developing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, or Terraform.
  • Proven experience in DevSecOps standard and tools like Jenkins or Jenkins Core, Git/GitHub.
  • Proven experience in container and cloud technologies, including Docker, Kubernetes and AWS/Azure, as well as secure application development.
  • Quality-first, testable solutions using TDD and automation.
  • In-depth knowledge secure coding standards and practices
  • Strong experience in leading in a reciprocal, team-based environment with a constant focus on learning, mentoring, and encouraging others.

  • Strong understanding of modern development principles such as trunk-based development, feature toggles, and branch by abstraction to support performant and collaborative engineering teams.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills to integrate effectively into the inclusive culture.
  • Proven desire to learn new skills and emerging technologies/industry trends quickly.

  • Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to analyze and solve problems.
  • Staying ahead of the curve by aligning architecture, digital platform infrastructure, and security with chapters and CoEs.
  • Supporting a cloud-first world through upskilling and augmenting squads with deep AWS/Azure expertise.
