PRINCIPAL FULL STACK ENGINEER

The Role

We have an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated Principal Full Stack Engineer to join our Enterprise Technology organization in Fidelity.

The team is engaging on a strategic technology initiative and this leading role is key to all facets of the delivery process to ensure we deliver scalable, performant, and secure technology solutions aligned to this strategy. We seek a principal engineer who is versatile, always eager to tackle new problems, and continues to push technology forward.

  • You will work closely with us to help shape the direction and technical implementation of the product.

  • You will be at the forefront of engineering with a strong focus on engineering excellence.

  • Contribute to technical analysis, design, and development of high quality, innovative, maintainable software solutions.

  • Resolve issues and/or identifying approaches to solutions.

  • Comply with and help to improve engineering, architectural and coding standards.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring:

A principal full stack engineer who is passionate about their craft, is a keen life-long learner of the latest technologies trends and offerings, and who thrives in driving complex and challenging technology initiatives.

  • 10+ years of industry experience.

  • Proven Expertise with modern TypeScript-based UI frameworks, Angular preferred.

  • Proven Expertise with Java technologies and Spring Boot Framework.

  • A strong quality mindset and understanding of unit testing.

  • Proven Expertise with OO Design, coding standards, design patterns, and microservices (RESTful or GraphQL preferred).

  • Experienced with NFRs and supporting technologies, e.g., Observability (OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry tracing), Resiliency, etc.

  • Experienced with AWS and containerization technologies Docker and EKS.

  • Experienced with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins Core. 

  • Familiarity with databases, data structures, and SQL. 

  • Your positivity and strength in collaborating with a team of highly talented engineers.

  • Your understanding of best practice agile development.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Your customer focus and strong problem-solving skills.

  • You model a culture of continuous learning and a willingness to share your expertise with others.
