Job Title: Lead - Software Engineering

The Purpose of This Role

At Production Support team we play a key role is to ensure operational stability and availability of Rep facing applications used by the associates servicing Personal Investing customers. We have detailed knowledge on suite of applications, app server/web server technologies, Integration & Deployment technologies, Monitoring tools and Scripting & Automation technologies on hundreds of Linux/Windows servers.

The Value You Deliver

• Build Infrastructure/Services and Solutions Engineering for deploying Apps on On-prem & Cloud Infrastructure

• Fix production incidents related to applications on Desktops and Mid Tier Servers

• Use Jenkins for Application build & Deployment

• Upgrading On-prem to Public Cloud

• Handle a huge fleet of prem servers (including security & patching oversight)

• Handle SSL certificates for all applications in scope

• Use Ansible & Python for automating day-to-day activities

• Partner with Dev teams on app upgrade initiatives (Dockerizing, Cloud onboarding etc.)

• Use Datadog & Splunk for Application Observability and monitoring of app & infrastructure

The Skill & Experience Requisites

ITIL processes like Incident management, Environment/Problem management processes. Ability to solve application issues on Windows Desktops and Linux/Windows Mid Tier IIS and Tomcat application servers. Deployment Automation Tools: Udeploy, RepliWeb, Any other automations on Deployment. Basic working experience on Dockers/Kubernetes Datadog, Splunk, Catchpoint and any other Observability tools. Knowledge on DevOps model and Cloud. Balancing delivery with ad hoc workloads and re-evaluating priorities Penchant to learn new technologies & increase technical fungibility. Good interpersonal skills ! 2 to 6 years of a consistent record with a B.E/MCA/Equivalent Flexible to work in late evening shifts and weekend oncall coverage.

Production Services (EI&O-PS) is a centralized support services organization in the Enterprise Infrastructure & Operations group of Fidelity. EI&O-PS supports 3000+ applications across Fidelity business units providing roster based on call rotation (follow the sun model). Services provided by EI&O-PS include Application and Batch Support via Incident/Change/Problem management, UI, Middle Tier & Database Services, Mainframe operations, Release Services & Performance Engineering services.
