The Purpose of Your Role

Our teams build and contribute to engineering efficiency in Fidelity’s platform. As a Lead Software engineer, you will help teams in improving the overall engineering efficiency of the applications by enabling DevOps practices. You’ll work on building compelling user interface applications that enables end to end capabilities as part of our autonomous, cross functional teams. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to building solutions on-prem and also cloud that helps applications to deliver with quality and agility. You'll have the opportunity to contribute ideas to improve our products as well as develop your skills, learn new technologies and languages, and continue to learn. We're looking for highly motivated individuals who work well in a collaborative, iterative, and fast-paced environment.

• Stay on top of Algorithms, Data Structures and Design Patterns and love the challenge of building highly scalable systems that can support thousands of transactions/sec.
• Are data-driven and can measure, collect and use data to make decisions. We understand the value of intuition and the need to balance decisions accordingly.
• Have strong communication skills and technical expertise to drive and participate in meaningful discussions.
• Work with global teams spread across locations in US and China.

The Skills that are Key to this role

Technical

• Strong Experience of Angular, Node, JavaScript, Java, Spring, or similar frameworks
• Making use of Cascading Style Sheets CSS3 features & CSS frameworks to implement responsive web design
• Good knowledge in the Jenkins and establishing CI/CD pipelines
• Good knowledge of HTTP based APIs, Networking and how the internet works.
• Knowledge in tools like GIT, Jenkins, Maven, JUnit, Docker, JMeter, Artifactory, Sonar, Veracode, Concourse and Cloud.
• Understanding of API Design & Development, MicroServices Architecture
• DevOps, Automated Testing and Continuous Delivery
• AWS Cloud certification will be a plus

The Expertise we’re looking for

• 6-9 years of software engineering experience with at least 4 years in Frontend development
• At least 2-3 years of experience working in Agile Scrum model
• Experience in CI/CD pipeline configuration would be advantage
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software engineering or related field
• Having Technical Certifications in Java or AWS would be an advantage
