Job Title – Director, Data Engineering

As an Engineering Leader for Data Engineering - FMR India, you will be responsible for design, development and maintenance of high-performance data platforms which caters to the needs of WI Clients and millions of WI customers. This role provides unique opportunity in executing Fidelity’s Enterprise Data Strategy and drive the teams working on Digital transformation roadmap and build engineering excellence capabilities. In this role you will have opportunity to work with various Domain, Tribe and Squad leaders and influence the decisions.

The Purpose of This Role

Data Engineering is a specialized team of Data Engineering experts, dedicated to helping Fidelity Retirement Services business.  Starting with onboarding Clients to our state-of-the-art Fidelity Workplace Investments record keeping platforms, managing inbound, outbound data as well as managing existing data platforms such as operational data stores, Master data Management solutions & Data Lake.

Data Engineering team play a vital role in building next generation record keeping, Master Data Management & Analytics platforms on the cloud.  This team works closely with all conversion partners and developers onshore/offshore helping to deliver the best experience for our customers’ first interaction with Fidelity.

We’re looking for a passionate, inquisitive, and player/coach of fast paced data engineering development and infrastructure teams. Knowledge on a wide range of data technologies to join the Data Engineering team within Workplace Investing Technology Team.

As a Engineering Leader, you will be responsible for

• Ensure timely development and delivery of the Database components to WI Enterprise Data Lake platform based on the requirement and priority set by the Squad leaders.

• Recommending and following the best Agile & Engineering practices.

• Facilitate Squad, tribe level meetings with leadership team for better planning and execution.

• Regularly provides guidance & training to the team members and mitigate Risks

• Cross business collaboration and representative for reviewing WI Key data Initiatives.

The Expertise We’re Looking For

• ~15 years of IT experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any other discipline

• 8-10 years for Data Engineering experience working on large scale data platforms is MUST

• Location:             Chennai

• Shift timings:     11:00 am - 8:00pm
